Jason,

I wanted to say thank you for all that you have done with helping the Loudoun South Eagles Baseball Club break ground this season. This was definitely a win-win for the players and coaches. You have taken 30 ballplayers and molded them into better players during our winter workouts. You also advised our coaching staff on how to make the players better. Your ability to communicate to players and coaches of all ages is truly amazing. I can say that DST is the place to be. There are no facilities in the area that can compare to what you have to offer.

Steve Bell, Loudoun South Eagles Baseball Club

“For my money, this have been the very best series of lessons that I have ever been involved with when it comes to youth athletics. Our instructor, Jason Bagby, brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to communicate to both players and coaches. The kids have been challenged to improve both physically and mentally.....thanks for the great effort!”

Kent Overholt, Reston Little League

Jason,

I know it is your job to instruct, but I wanted to thank you for all of the work you have done with Jack and the advice you have given me, especially on keeping my priorities straight, I appreciate it. The impact is not just felt when we are at DST with Jack alone, but your help has reached 11 other players on my team as well. I just wanted to say thanks for all you have done, it has been very helpful.

David Lerch, Loudoun South Little League

John,

I just wanted to drop you a quick email. Over the Holiday I took Nicholas to the batting cages a couple of times. After three lessons with you, the improvement was amazing. His batting stance and swing were for the most part very consistent and he hit the ball hard just about every time.

The interesting part was a few parents that were there with their kids and asked me how long he has been playing and how did he figure out how to have such a good swing. The credit goes all to you. Nicholas even told one of the parents that Coach John really helped him out.

Once again, thanks!

Chris Skafidas, Little League Parent

DST,

I wanted to send a letter and let you know what a great job you are doing with your baseball clinics.  I have had my 8 year old son enrolled in your hitting clinic for 9 sessions and have seen him make significant improvements in his swing.  My son was always a good hitter but the things that he has learned in your clinic over the past couple of months have made him a much better hitter.  He now has a very solid fundamental swing which will help him be a consistent hitter as he moves up through the ranks of Little League.  The class structure and size that you maintain in your clinics allows the kids to get the most out of each session.  I am looking forward to enrolling him in your upcoming fielding and pitching clinics.

Keep up the great work,

Gary Malacane, A Satisfied DST Parent

“My hitting coach, Coach John Lechler, is the best! He has helped me with the basics of my swing and now helps me with the small things, that nobody else can see, that make a big difference in my performance at bat. He doesn’t just help me with mechanics. He has also helped me with pitch selection and “seeing the ball” better while at bat. Thanks to him I now play for a 14U team as a twelve year old and am batting third in the line up! My batting average is over .300 this season! Coach John is so much fun too. He makes hitting a lot more fun than usual. To me he is the best at what he does! Thanks Coach John!!”

Allison Davis, 14U Ashburn Shooting Stars

“I just wanted to let you know how incredibly impressed I and the other parents who attended were with the job that Jennifer Buckley did tonight with our team’s softball pitchers.  Jennifer was extremely knowledgeable and patient with each girl, giving them excellent advice with great communication skills.  I’ve been to a number of training sessions over the years in several different sports including softball, and Jennifer did by far the best job of any instructor!  Each of our three pitchers and their parents were also deeply impressed.”

Steve R., Coach of a Little League Juniors team in Loudoun County

I have had so much fun with my hitting instructor, Megan Smith. She has taught me so much from perfecting the basics of my swing to understanding pitch counts; Megan has taught me all of it. There were more advanced parts that I learned over time and now my whole swing is complete. I am now making contact a lot so I rarely strike out. Megan also taught me another bunt I had never even heard of called the “sneaky” or “drag” bunt.  One of Megan’s quotes is “see the ball, hit the ball” and I am always reminded of that quote now before every game. DST has been really fun and I plan on continuing my lessons there!

Shelby Thomas, Vienna Stars 10U

“Last night, my daughter Kattie received the one hour group hitting lesson with her Redbird team and left with the feeling that she has finally understood the correct technique to be a good hitter. Thank you for your work!”

Pam Evans

DST,

I’m writing to express my appreciation to DST for two things:                                  Diamond Sports Training literally rescued the summer team this year. With all of the rained out weekends we’ve had in 2003, DST on short notice, allowed the Ashburn Pride to hold tryouts for the summer season. Their facility was outstanding for conducting hitting, throwing, fielding and even pop-fly drills. The DST staff had everything set up for us, which allowed the coaches to focus on the players. For area coaches, if you need a facility and you need to know it’s not going to rain, then DST is the place.

The second area that I would like thank DST for is for having a great summer softball camp program. I could immediately tell my daughter was having a great time when she couldn’t wait to tell me about the cool drills & games they did each day. Another indicator of a great camp is that my daughter soaked in DST’s instruction. Her throwing motion improved immensely after one week’s time. DST accomplished two things that parents look for in sports camps: an enjoyable experience for their kids and improvement of their skills. We’ll be back next summer!

Performance Enhancement

Josh,

Michael's eye on the ball really has improved. Although he was getting his bat on the ball before, he wasn't getting the walks. You can tell he really is making the distinction between a ball and strike. Several people have commented on Michael's batting; between Jason's hitting instruction and your Vizual Edge eye training, Michael is making some great offensive plays.  Thanks for your help.

Kathleen Kennedy, Dulles Little League and Potomac Riverdogs

“I love DST’s Boot Camp for Women!  Being a working mother it makes it hard for me to fit in time to workout, but the early morning classes are a perfect solution. I have more energy now and a lot more stamina. Every class is different and we work out every part of our bodies! My husband was skeptical at first, but after a few weeks he noticed my body getting back into shape and he says I’m not as stressed out as I was before!  I would recommend this class to anyone who wants to get into shape the right way and for anyone who might need that little push to start working out. Josh is the BEST!”

Laura Carper

"This bootcamp has helped me fit exercise into my overpacked schedule.  Getting to a 5:00 am class can be a struggle some days, but it is well worth the effort and energizes me for the rest of the day.  The instructor is both knowledgable and helps all participants, regardless of fitness level, do their best.

Kathleen Harris

“In the past I have heard about Boot Camps for women and thought I could never do that.  But this is the perfect time because I can do it before work and my days being a taxi driver for my son will not have to change.  I was excited and went to the free session.  I am in week 5 now and I can honestly say I love it!!!!!  I can feel the difference in my clothes, attitude, and stamina.  Josh, the instructor, is wonderful and very in-tune to each person and their expectation of the workout. He is very knowledgeable and will work with people that have special needs like me.  I have arthritis in my lower back, hands, and knees and am not able to do all the exercises comfortably.  He will give me other exercises to do that fit my ability and that will not cause pain or injury.  He truly cares about each individual and wants to see them succeed. He makes the class fun and it changes every day!  I have also noticed since I have started this class that my eating habits have changed.  I have more of a desire to want to work out and get healthy. It has given me confidence and a drive to make changes in my life.  I also have been able to cut back on my medications and that is a great feeling!   I cannot say thank you enough for the encouragement from him and my classmates each week to help me become a healthier person.”

The DST Facility

“The DST facility is a ball-player’s paradise.  They have tons of top quality equipment and space that is suitable for individual, group, or even multi-team workouts. DST’s biggest asset, though, is its staff of instructors.  They know the fundamentals, mechanics, and techniques that are necessary to succeed in baseball - and they know how to communicate that knowledge to young players. I would recommend DST to anyone looking to help their child take his/her game to the next level.”

Jeff Newell, Dulles Little League and Potomac Riverdogs

“Diamond Sports Training has been a lifesaver this winter for us. We've been able to combat this awful weather by using their wonderful facilities. When they're done with this training center, it's going to be everything an athlete could possibly want, especially for the young baseball player. They've got the room, the baseball equipment, and the know-how to run a wonderful indoor baseball facility. I don't know what we would've done without them this year...... “

Dodgeball

“Just want to let you know what fun the Dodgeball league is for my son and his friends. We wish you would expand the Dodgeball league and have it more often and additional nights during the week!  Ultimately my son hopes Dodgeball becomes a real sport with high school teams, etc.! He loves it. So thanks for providing our community with such a fun activity for our kids.”

Coaches Clinics

“Our league has been sending our new and returning managers and coaches to Diamond Sports Training for preseason Coaches Clinics for five years. With the growing need to train men and women who volunteer to teach and manage 12-18 year olds, Jason Bagby and his staff have provided everything we need to keep those volunteers knowledgeable on how and what to teach at each age level, how to manage their games and practices properly, and how to keep the player's interest. DST has been instrumental in making sure our league continues to place good managers and coaches on the field and is why our league continues to grow, while others seem to lose numbers each year. We will continue to use DST and it's staff in the future for all of our instructional needs.”

Tom Whipple, President, Eastern Loudoun Babe Ruth

“Jason Bagby not only knows the proper mechanics for hitting but also understands how to relate his knowledge to all levels and ages of hitters. He does an excellent job of combining his past experience as a player and a coach and does a great job of using visual analogies to show young players baseball skills. I was very pleased with the hitting clinic he did for Central Loudoun Little League last winter.”

Jeff Kaplan, Head Coach, 12U Leesburg Lumber and Former High School Coach

“The Coaches Clinic last night was fantastic. You started off by saying that if we picked up just one new thing that it would be worth it. Needless to say, I picked up a lot more than ‘just one thing’. Thanks.......and keep up the GREAT work. People can feel your passion for the game and the kids!”
